Greetings to all my faithful dA friends and watchers.
I'm pleased to tell you that I have returned from my month-long vacation in Louisiana. Man, was it a fun trip! I saw WWE RAW live at the Cajun Dome, first of all. You guys remember the one where Vickie Guerrero quit? I was there! Then I saw Coldplay in concert, and that was like the greatest show ever! I need to start going to more concerts, and Jack's Mannequin is definately first on my list there.
I'm sad to say, however, that I didn't draw a single thing. :cry: All I did was write for a couple of my stories, one of them being Koopus'.

But on top of all that, I saw a ton of movies on and off the big screen! Many of them are probably out of the theaters by now, but when they come out on DVD be sure to pick them up:

#1 - "Bolt"
Essentially, this movie was flawless. The story was classic Disney, and the characters were very memorable. The only problem I have with this film is what happened during the credits: a singing duet of Miley Cyrus and...wait for it...John Travolta. That's right. Miley Cyrus was bad enough; why'd you have to throw Travolta in there? Now he's doing Pelham 123 just to get his career back on track. But anyway, I hated the combination of singers so much that I dropped a star of rating right off the entire movie.
Therefore, Bolt gets :star::star::star::star: from me.

#2 - "Terminator Salvation"
If you want to see this movie to see Arnold Schwarzennagger back in action, you may be dissappointed. If you see it for any other reason, you'll be blown the hell away! This movie was AWESOME, plain and simple! Christian Bale and Sam Worthington were fantastic in this film, and in my opinion Anton Yelchin was a great young Kyle Reese. No problems with this movie; no faults.
Terminator Salvation gets :star::star::star::star::star:.

#3 - "Beverly Hills Chihuahua"
My aunt had this DVD at her house, so I decided to watch it. In the first ten minutes, I regretted my decision. This movie is one of the examples of when Disney goes too far (the other being "G-Force"), and it's clearly shown. The only character in the film that kept me watching was Delgado, and it was nice that he got a second chance in the end. But unless you enjoy big film companies making fools of themselves, I strongly advise you avoid this movie.
Beverly Hills Chihuahua gets :star::star:.

#4 - "UP"
I stand by my theory that there is no such thing as a bad Pixar film, and UP remained true to that theory. It is now my third favorite of Pixar's history, with WALL-E and Finding Nemo still a bit better. But this film had the comedy and story that one of its calibur needs, and there are no complaints here from me. Thanks for delivering yet again, Pixar.
UP gets a perfect score of :star::star::star::star::star:.

#5 - "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian"
I actually saw this film with my girlfriend before leaving, but we saw it again down in Louisiana. Night at the Museum 2 was just as good as the first; if not better. It was positively hilarious, and had a touch of purpose in there to sweeten the deal.
Night at the Museum 2 gets :star::star::star::star:.

#6 - "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"
I've been wanting to see this film ever since I saw the very first trailer (AR fan, remember?), so I was delighted to find it in my aunt's DVD collection. Let's see, how can I say this...oh yeah. This film is BRILLIANT! It is up there with Knowing and the Dark Knight for sure; I just loved every minute of it. It is just so elaborate and fascinating that it's hard to turn away, and it is beautifully finished off with the flooding of a room containing the backwards-turning clock. The only fault I have with this movie is its length. At an approximate two hours and forty-five minutes, it's quite an ordeal to watch all at once. But it's hardly a problem. I'm not sure what kind of film Slumdog Millionaire is, but it had to be at least ten stars out of five just to beat this!
The regressing Benjamin Button gets a perfect :star::star::star::star::star:.

#7 - "Angels and Demons"
This is one of those times when you know the person who created it had to have an occupation in the subject to have access to this much information. That, or an IQ in the five hundreds. But yeah, this movie was a little...sadistic? I mean one guy had dirt shoved down his throat, another was burned to death...I mean geez. But it was well put together; Ron Howard did a great job here as he probably did with the DaVinci Code. No complaints here.
Angels and Demons gets :star::star::star::star::star:.

#8 - "The Taking of Pelham 123"
As the critics say, this is a good summer movie. Travolta and Washington worked wonderously together, each practically one-upping the other throughout the movie. But there were a few small details in the movie that just weren't capitalized on; the ending just leaves you saying, "that's it?". But it was action-packed and a little comedic, so it's very much worth seeing.
Pelham 123 gets :star::star::star::star:.

#9 - "Land of the Lost"
Being someone who hasn't seen the original series this film is based off of, I can't really say how true this film is to it. But what I can say is that it is VERY FUNNY. I've always found Will Ferrel rather funny, and he got the perfect role in this film. Though he's not all of the comedy, and that's a good thing too. You can tell at many parts in the movie what's green-screened and what's not though, and that's one thing I don't really like in films. But it's worth a laugh, and therefore worth seeing a couple times.
Land of the Lost lands at :star::star::star::star:.

#10 - "Valkyrie"
I still think Tom Cruise's best work was that in The Last Samurai, but this film likely comes in second. While the movie's first half is a little dry...of everything...it kicks it into high gear in the second half. It's like you fell asleep watching some soap opera, then there's an explosion and you awake to find an intense thrill ride.
Valkyrie gets an exceptional :star::star::star::star:.

#11 - "Year One"
To be honest, I expected less. But that's not much of a compliment. This movie was worth a laugh or two, but they tried to make a comedy film accurate in time and stuff...and I just didn't like the idea. We're stupid enough now; you're going to tell us that we were even worse back then? Plain and simple, go see it to laugh and nothing else. You may at least find some satisfaction there.
Year One gets :star::star::star:.

#12 - "The Hangover"
Going to see this, I expected nothing less than an average stoner comedy. But instead, I found the funniest movie I've seen since The Love Guru! This movie is by far the funniest film of the year, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Like Napolean Dynamite, you'll be quoting this film for years to come!
The Hangover gets :star::star::star::star:.

#13 - "Star Trek"
Again, I'm not sure how accurate this film is to the original series. But apparently, fans liked it and so did I. The film was very elaborate and well put together, and I'm sure anyone who sees it will be satisfied at the least. My brother saw it weeks earlier when he went to a friend's party, and he hailed it over and over. Now, I can do the same.
Star Trek gets :star::star::star::star::star:.

Alright, that's it for the movies.

When I got back from my little trip, I spent my hundreds of dollars in birthday money and got quite a few new things.

First of all was The Conduit game for the Wii, as you've probably heard about. It's every bit as amazing as it's claimed to be, with one exception. It's a little short; only nine missions in the game to complete. But that's why they added the online multiplayer, which will most likely offer a few more years of gameplay value for me.
The Conduit gets :star::star::star::star::star:.

Next, I got a few new albums. First, I finally found the first Jack's Mannequin album! Finally, I am a proud owner of Everything In Transit!
After that, I got the old Something Corporate "North" album. I wanted "Leaving Through The Window", but Best Buy didn't have it. Oh well, North is brilliant enough. The only problem I have with SoCo is that they're known for their hard rock songs and not their amazing ones. And this album has quite a few of those hard ones, including "Space" which I absolutely despise.

But the third album I bought is the one I want to talk about. And that album is SafetySuit's "Life Left To Go". Ever since hearing their hits "Someone Like You" and "Stay", I have wanted their full cd so badly. Now I have it, and it delivered and then some. While the first third (first four songs) of the album are a little dry in the lyrics department, all the songs are catchy and there's something to like about each one. Their sound fluxuates enough to not be the same all throughout, and when it all comes together the album is nearly flawless. I STRONGLY recommend this album to anyone who shares my taste in music; SafetySuit is an amazing new band rising up and they need all the fans they can get to do so. So, go help them out and buy this album.
SafetySuit's "Life Left To Go" gets :star::star::star::star::star:.

The album's best
1. "Annie"
2. "Apology"
3. "Stay"
4. "Someone Like You"
5. "Anywhere But Here"

The album's worst
1. "Down"
2. "Find A Way"

Oh, btw I also got ideas for like eight more novels.
I'll do something about them later; I need to go now. Farewell for now.

The movie was good...but the stupid song ruined it at the end, just how the dancing ruined Slumdog Millionare.

I rarely watch it anymore. I don't find interest in it anymore, but sometimes I watch it if something cool happens or if I can't find anything else to do or watch.

I watch it every now and then, mainly because I find it ironic that they fake the things that can't really hurt them. They fake punches and kicks, but it's perfectly fine to get hit with a chair? lol
