Too Close For Comfort
RemorseI've been getting corrupt files left and right on my laptop lately. For that reason I backed up all my stories on a flash drive, but apparently my files weren't safe there either.
Earlier today, the file for "Conner" became corrupt.
I freaked out immediately. I feared I had permanently lost one of my greatest hopes for a best-selling novel. But THANK GOD that my home computer was able to recover the file in a different program. All my plan-to-publish stories are now backed up on there. I'll just have to work on my stories on that computer in WordPad or NotePad, and since it keeps the formatting and everything that's not a problem at all. I'm turning in my laptop on Friday anyway (last day of school for me), so I suppose this was all just a way to part with it again. As if the hundreds of corrupt files I had already weren't enough.
But that also reminds me of another thing.
I'm doing the same thing I did last year for summer; going down to Louisiana to be with my Dad for the entire month of June. Now I'm probably going to be with relatives and doing a ton of stuff (I'm going to see COLDPLAY! Squeeeee!), so I probably won't be on much that month. And the month after that is band camp (yay...), but it won't interfere as much.
But yeah, as a result of the corrupt file fiasco all stories will be put on hold for a few days.

I had this other Microsoft Office program that I used on my old home computer that worked great, but we had to get a new one that doesn't have it.

If you constantly use a computer for days on end, that stuff happens.

if you have your comp i suggest backing up all file
if your don't have another comp i would use a external hard drive
