Alaskan Wilderness, September 1927
Shift came up to his den to find that Luna was watching their two pups. He looked at Boltro and got a gleam in his eye.
"Hey....Luna," he started, "ya' mind if I take Boltro for a sec? I want to show him something."
Luna then told Boltro to go with his father.
"Follow me...."

Shift took him up to Falcon's Peak, which was known by all as Shun clan territory. It was the highest peak in Alaska, and it had a view of all the Shun territories.
"Wow!"
Boltro was on the edge of the peak looking down on the view, while Shift came up behind him.
"This is great, dad!"
"See all that land? All of that territory belongs to our clan."
"Wow! Really!?"
"Yes....and there's a very good chance that it might be yours someday...."

Alaskan Wilderness, 1929
Boltro jumped awake and hit his head on the den wall.
"Ow! Tch....all be mine....what were you thinking dad!?"
He then heard a voiced from outside.
"I heard that!"
Shift then walked into the den.
"You know dad, you don't have to keep watching me like this. I'm a subordinate now."
"That may be true, but whenever we leave you alone, you go running after that 'Balto' character of yours...."
"But...."
"No buts! It's like i've always told you! When in a tight spot...."
They then said together....
"Look before you leap...."
Boltro was then confused.
"Wait....how does that relate?"
"Just wait," Shift said as he turned to leave, "wait, my son, and you'll see...."

Wow. This....came out terribly. Anyway, I did this for 's "Pride" contest. It's me as a pup with my father Shift behind him looking at the view from the peak. I, for one, am not happy with how this came out. Oh well....too late to do anything about it now....
