Jonathan was walking home from school, looking down at the ground moving under him. The cold winter air was hitting his face, but he just continued to shuffle his feet. He continued until he reached his house, then he simply sighed and walked to the door.
As soon as he walked in the door, his mother stood in the hallway and slammed a sheet of paper in his face. Jonathan knew it was his report card, and he didn’t even look up. His mother then began to yell at him, but he didn’t bother to listen. He simply went downstairs to his room.
